Cooler weather, then warm up!

The next couple of days expect highs below normal with the afternoon temps topping off in the mid 50's. There is a chance of a shower or two for today, Sunday and Monday but chances are very low and no major precipitation chances for the next 7 days. By mid week next week highs will bounce back into the mid to upper 70's and the winds will pick up as well, which unfortunately means extremely high fire danger.

Here is the drought graphic, extremely dry conditions:
Here is what the next 7days look like:

The Chances of rain on Wednesday and Thursday look very low and the precipitation looks very light at this time. Stay tuned!

Mr. Mark Mazetti speaks to UCO students

He says that the New York Times isn't just a paper anymore it is more of a digital paper now, where you can access it through your cell phone, iPad or any electronic device. According to him, our own House and Senate don't even know the details of the "shadows of war." In the mid 1970's US made a law where the USA couldn't assassinate world leaders without a trial.

Pre- 9/11 should the CIA use drones to kill Osama Bin Laden?
In 2004 investigations showed the CIA was torturing prisoners.

In May 2011, the US carried out an operation to find and kill Osama Bin Laden by Navy Seals, in Pakistan where the US was not at war.

Yemen is "Obama's war" with drones being used in that country by the Pentagon and the CIA. That could be a very big problem with a secret war known as "blurred lines" where no one outside the government knows what's going on.

Last night's rain snow/mix may make a comeback this weekend, mainly confined to northern Oklahoma, which they could pick up a quick 1-3 inches. Here in the Oklahoma City area our high will be around 38 degrees, as the storm system exists we may end in snow, maybe a dusting here in OKC.

Weather the next 7 days looks cool and below normal with numerous precipitation chances. Big warm up 14 days out, hang in there, Spring is just around the corner!

Past Week in Review

This past week in the weather world has been a huge roller coaster, we went from a high last Friday of 68 degrees to 43 on Saturday and 13 on Sunday with snow/sleet/freezing rain. Here we are in the month of March and we are still seeing temperatures likes this and freezing precipitation. So the question everyone is wondering is, when will Spring get here?

Unfortunately, at least for the next two weeks we will remain on this roller coaster, with more winter precipitation in the forecast this week. Right now there is a chance of freezing rain and drizzle Wednesday morning and another shot at some snowfall Saturday. Right now, the models are not in agreement so the forecast will change.
